Jackaroos Cottage
Jackaroos Cottage is an early settler’s home, carefully reimagined to balance original character with modern comfort and quiet sophistication.
The brief was clear: preserve the cottage’s historic charm on the outside, while crafting an interior that feels warm, refined, and built to last.
With a strong focus on sustainability, we incorporated recycled and repurposed materials throughout, including old corrugated iron and reclaimed windows, as well as bridge timber flooring and original fixtures like the bath and laundry sink, now given new life in the kitchen.
Each piece carries a story, weaving history and modernity into a home where heritage isn’t just preserved, it’s lived.
